What The Bible Tells Us About Salvation

The Forgiveness Of Sin And The FREE GIFT Of God

  1. Listen to this audio teaching:
  2. Also from the book of Romans:  Listen now!

It is a scary thought that many walk around today thinking they are saved because someone they trusted (who was or is in ministry) assured them that they were saved.

(Mat 7:13 KJV) Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

(Mat 7:14 KJV) Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Many will say, “see you prayed the sinners prayer, so what does Romans 10:13 say?  Well you must be saved then.”

The horrible truth is that many will never know what it will be like to walk for eternity with God because of it.

(Mat 7:21 KJV) Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. (22) Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? (23) And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Salvation is something God has to give to us not something we do to get it, nor a prayer that earned it … It is Jesus who does the saving, all we can do is ask him for it.

(1 John 3:24 KJV) And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him.  And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

(Rom 6:23 KJV) For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

(John 14:6 KJV) Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Since we are talking about spending ALL of eternity either with God or without God, then why not take the time now to listen to the truth…

4 Gospel Laws

The Basic Message of Christianity:

In the beginning before man, God had created angels or heavenly beings that would worship God the creator.  God’s greatest angel named Lucifer rebelled against God because Lucifer wanted to be equal to God the creator.  Lucifer (which means “day star” in Isaiah 14:12 where the word is used as a title for the king of Babylon, who had exalted himself as a god)  warred against God the creator and lost.

Lucifer and one third of the angels who warred against God the creator were cast down from God’s holy place to be separated from God the creator forever. Lucifer is now known as the devil or the prince and power of the air. Lucifer is also called Satan. SATAN (say’ tuhn) Transliteration of Hebrew word meaning, “adversary.”  (normally translated in English as adversary or accuser.  The same term is translated as a proper name.  See Devil, Satan, Evil, Demonic. ) (The translation “Lucifer” comes from the Latin translation called the Vulgate : VULGATE The Latin translation by Jerome about A.D. 400 of the Bible)

God created the man Adam, so that God the creator could have fellowship together with the man called Adam.  God created a help mate for man called woman whose name was later changed to Eve which meant the mother of all living.

Satan now deceives Woman (Eve) into sinning against God the creator.  While in the Garden of Eden, Satan gets the woman to eat of the forbidden fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.  Woman (Eve) then encourages the man ( Adam) to do the same.

Mankind is now condemned before the creator by their sin of disobedience to the creator.  God the creator had told them that they could not eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for in the day that they did, they would die and be separated from God.

God removed them from the Garden of Eden.  Death was now a part of the world and of mankind.  God’s redemptive plan was that He (Jesus) would have to come in the form of flesh, die for man’s sins, then apply His own blood as a covering for man’s sin debt and man’s sins. That is exactly what Jesus Christ, who was God in the flesh, did for all mankind.

Jesus then gave the decision for man to be saved to mankind.  It is now up to YOU!

How To Know Jesus !

Have You Ever Heard Of The 4 Spiritual Laws that show you HOW you can know 100% for sure that you are at peace with God?

Just as there are physical laws that govern the physical universe, so are there spiritual laws which govern your relationship with God.

LAW #1: God LOVES you, and offers a wonderful PLAN for your life.

God’s Love: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

God’s Plan — Jesus said, “I came that they might have life, and might have it abundantly” (that it might be full and meaningful) (John 10:10 )

So why is it that most people are not experiencing the abundant life? Because…

LAW #2: Man is SINFUL and SEPARATED from God.
Therefore, he cannot know and experience God’s love and plan for his life.

Man is Sinful. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)  Man was created to have fellowship with God; but, because of his stubborn self-will, he chose to go his own independent way and fellowship with God was broken.  This self-will, characterized by an attitude of active rebellion or passive indifference, is evidence of what the Bible calls sin.

Man is Separated “For the [result] of sin is death”–spiritual separation from God (Romans 6:23) The diagram below illustrates that God is holy and man is sinful.  A great gulf separates the two. The arrows show that man is continually trying to reach God and the abundant life through his own efforts, such as living a good life, following specific philosophies or religions, etc.

The third law explains the only way to bridge this gulf…
LAW #3 Jesus Christ is God’s ONLY provision for Man’s sin.
Through Him you can know and experience God’s love and plan for your life.  He Died in Our Place “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)

It is not enough just to know these three laws.

The Fourth Law is essential…LAW #4

We Must Receive Christ personally depending on Him alone to save us.  We must individually RECEIVE Jesus Christ as our personal Savior and Lord; then we can know and experience God’s love and plan for our lives.”But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name.” (John 1:12 )

We Receive Christ Through Faith “For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)

When we receive Christ, We Experience a New Birth “I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit.  Do not be surprised when I say you must be born again.  Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.”
(see John 3:1-8)

We Receive Christ by Personal Invitation.   Jesus said, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him.” (Revelation 3:20)

Receiving Christ involves turning to God from self (repentance) and trusting Christ to come into our lives to forgive our sins and to make us the kind of people He wants us to be.   Just to agree intellectually that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He died on the cross for our sins is not enough.  Nor is it enough to have an emotional experience.  We receive Jesus Christ by faith, as an act of will.

The two diagrams below represent two kinds of lives, the self-directed life and the Christ-directed life:

Which circle best represents your life?  Which circle would you like to have represent your life?
You can receive Christ right now by faith through prayer (Prayer is talking with God)  God knows your heart and is not so concerned with your words as He is with the attitude of your heart.

The following is a suggested prayer:
Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and I need you.  Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins.  I open the door of my life and receive You as my Savior and Lord.  Thank You for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of my life.  Make me the kind of person You want me to be. Like the thief on the cross… he believe in you and he asked you to remember him and you told him “Today thou will be with me in paradise”. So I too like the thief on the cross am asking you to save me so I can live with You for ever. Thank you. Amen.

Does this prayer express the desire of your heart?  If it does, pray this prayer right now, and Christ will come into your life, just as He has promised. John 14:1-6   1st John 5:13 (KNOW)

What happens to the soul at death?

Now this question may help us to understand: if the union of the dust of the ground and the breath of life makes a man a living soul, then what happens to that living soul at death?  Anyone can see that it simply ceases to be a living soul until the life-giver reunites the body and the breath of life on the morning of the resurrection.

Suppose we have here a pile of boards and a pile of nails.  That is all we have, just a pile of boards and a pile of nails.  Now we take these boards and we nail them together according to a plan.  We no longer have a pile of boards and a pile of nails; we have a box.  Where did the box come from? “Oh,” you say, “it came from the union of the pile of boards and the pile of nails.”

And you are right. Now let us suppose that we no longer want a box, so we pull out the nails and put them in one place, and lay the boards in another place.  Now where did the box go to? You say, “it didn’t go anywhere; it simply ceased to be a box.”  And you are right again.   Just so, in the beginning God formed man of two things, the dust of the ground and the breath of life.   And as a result of uniting these two, man became a living, loving, acting soul.  When he/she dies, the two separate. The dust returns to the ground.

The breath, returns to God who gave it.  And remains that way until the resurrection when the body and the breath of life are united again.

Luke 16:19-31 From the lips of Jesus tells us that the saved at death go immediately with angles into a place that God has created for them.

I am so glad that in Heaven there will be no more pain, no more sorrow, no more death… ( no more separation)  John, who penned the book of Revelation, who was on the isle of Patmos was separated from his loved ones by a vast sea that separated him from his loved ones, and when John looked into the vision of Heaven he said, there is no more sea.  In other words, when we get to Heaven we will no longer be separated from our loved ones.  No barriers.  What a day that will be for sure!

May God’s sweet Spirit comfort everyone every time ANYONE has to experience a loss here on this Earth.  Revelation tells us of a New Heaven, and A New Earth that awaits us all.  John 14:1-6

He Rose from the Dead “Christ died for our sins…
He was buried…
He was raised on the third day, according to the Scriptures…
He appeared to Peter, then to the twelve.
After that He appeared to more than five hundred…” (I Corinthians 15:3-6)
He is the Only Way to God “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me.'” (John 14:6 )

The diagram below illustrates that God has bridged the gulf which separates us from Him by sending His Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross in our place to pay the penalty for our sins.
